Boire was formerly president and chief executive officer at Brookstone, Inc. He also served as president, U.S. Toys, North America, for Toys "R" Us from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, Boire was merchandizing manager for Best Buy and also spent 17 years at Sony Electronics Inc., in a variety of senior roles such as president of Sony's Consumer Sales Company. "I understand the company's challenges, but I am more persuaded by the company's opportunities and strengths," said Boire.
