Lights are always part of human lives and without them we cannot lead a normal life. We can find them in any places irrespective of whether a house, a commercial establishment or an industrial establishment. However, there are some model illuminants that are specially meant for some locations like the case of industrial lightings. These illuminants are specially meant for usage in manufacturing units that require more lights as compared to a home or other commercial establishment that too in manufacturing units where hazardous materials are manufactured, it is essential that appropriate illuminants should be used to protect the workers from any form of risks to their lives. Here are some of the types of light fittings that can be used in industries:

Incandescent lights: This model bulb was the first to be introduced by Thomas Edison. These models were widely used in industries and now it has been found that these illuminants can consume more electric power as compared to modern form of illuminants and therefore owners of industrial establishments are looking for other options that can save on their electricity and replacement expenditure as well. Even though, this model is cost effective, they are inefficient as compared to other model since most of the energy is converted into heat, rather than light.

Fluorescent models: Even though, this form of illuminants offer the same level of illumination as the incandescent models, they are more efficient and long lasting for usage in manufacturing areas and this type is being used in some commercial establishments.

HID Lighting: This is the most powerful type of fittings available in the market nowadays and some of their types include high pressure sodium bulbs, mercury vapor and metal halide lights. Even though, this model offers more efficient illumination, it is known to consume more energy. However, this model can last double times longer than the life of fluorescent models. It is costlier as compared to other models and it takes some time for warming up before attaining the full brightness.

Nowadays, to enable industries to attain utmost protection and maximum illumination with better energy consumption, a wide range of industrial lighting options are offered by some of the best manufactures and dealers and irrespective of whether an industry deals with hazardous materials or normal materials, they can make use of the energy efficient location lighting options offered by these companies and can save a lot on their power bills. Bulk orders can be placed with these online dealers and quality products can be obtained by industries right to their doorsteps.

A New Birth Control Method For Men | Men's Health News

Move over, condoms?there could be a new male birth-control option in town.?A contraceptive gel treatment may have the ability to suppress your sperm concentration, according to research published online in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.

Researchers had 99 healthy men apply a daily gel treatment to their bodies over the course of 6 months.?One-third of the guys applied a gel containing testosterone and a placebo, while the remaining two thirds applied a gel with testosterone and either 8 or 12 milligrams of Nestosterone, a synthetic hormone that?s been found to increase the contraceptive effectiveness of testosterone in men.?(Feeling weak? Tired? Less confident? Reclaim your mojo and?complete a total-body?Testosterone Transformation in just 12 weeks!)

Time for love makin', not baby makin'.

The results: Out of the guys who were using the testosterone-Nestosterone combination, 88 to 89 percent had a sperm concentration of less than 1 million sperm per milliliter. (Normal sperm concentration is more than 15 million sperm per milliliter.)

?The gels were applied in two separate locations,? says study coauthor Christina Wang, M.D., a professor of medicine at Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute. ?The testosterone component was applied to the upper arms and shoulders, and the?Nesterone component on the lower abdomen.?

How does it work? When testosterone and Nestosterone hit your skin together, the mixture shuts off the hormones that control production of sperm in your testes, Dr. Wang explains.

Now researchers aim to combine testosterone and Nestosterone into one gel, and apply it to one location, in the hopes that it?s even more effective, says Dr. Wang.

Drug War bill cuts judges from wiretap process - Capitol Fax.com

* Oh, no, our civil liberties will be fine while the government conducts its endless war on drugs?

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn sparked frustration among civil rights advocates by signing a new police wiretap law Tuesday.

Illinois police currently need a court order to secretly record conversations of drug criminals, but under the new law that goes into effect Jan. 1, a state?s attorney could give that go ahead.

Quinn said the change will allow faster arrests. [?]

But Ed Yohnka, director of communications and public policy with the American Civil Liberties Union, wished Quinn and the legislature would have left things alone. Yohnka said judges act as a neutral third party and they can already act fast enough.

* From the synopsis?

Provides that it is an exception to an eavesdropping violation, with prior request to and verbal approval of the State?s Attorney of the county in which the conversation is anticipated to occur, recording or listening with the aid of an eavesdropping device to a conversation in which a law enforcement officer, or any person acting at the direction of a law enforcement officer, is a party to the conversation and has consented to the conversation being intercepted or recorded in the course of an investigation of a drug offense.

* From a Quinn press release?

This legislation will strengthen the justice system by allowing more credible evidence into criminal proceedings. Judges and juries will be able to hear the actual conversations of those suspected of committing drug crimes, rather than relying on witness testimony that can be unreliable. Prosecutors and defense attorneys will also have more evidence to consider while negotiating plea agreements, which reduce the burden upon the criminal justice system. This new process allows Illinois law enforcement the same flexibility in crime situations as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration and law enforcement in surrounding states.

And, yet, the police still oppose a bill that would allow citizens to record their public comments without facing a felony and years behind bars.

Discuss.

Poll: Is it time for the iPhone to go multi-colored?

Apple usually keeps their flagship lines on a strict palette -- just metal for MacBooks lately, and metal and black or white for iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. The lower end lines get to have much more fun, with cool, chromatic options like silver, pewter, blue, green, yellow, pink, and red.

During the first few years of the iPhone there were always rumors a product Red version would ship around the holidays, but nothing ever came of them. To this day, if you want to add a splash of color to your iPhone, you have to go with a case or skin or sticker or after-market color swap.

Now, as the iPhone 5 approaches, is it time for Apple to revisit their color palette? Is it time to give iPhone owners the same options iPod nano and iPod shuffle owners have enjoyed for years? Is it time for the iPhone to get as multi-colored as the old Apple logo and original iMacs?

Or would that ruin the simplicity, class, and elegance of the iPhone line? Are even black and white one too many options?

Vote up top and then leave a comment below telling me why you voted the way you did, and which color you'd buy if you could!

Is Kanye West Really Designing An Engagement Ring For Kim - VH1

Kanye West?s relationship with Kim Kardashian has been like watching the scene in Back To The Future III when the runaway train speeds towards the edge of the cliff. The cliff obviously represents marriage in this botched metaphor, and now it looks like someone just hit fast forward. Although the two have brought up the topic marriage just a month after taking their relationship public, that just seemed like an abstract discussion. Now they really might do it for real.

According to a report from RadarOnline, Yeezy is busy designing an engagement ring for his beloved Kim, and prepping to pop the question just as soon as her divorce from Kris Humphries becomes final. The sweet part is that he?s apparently using stones from his late mother Donda?s collection. ?Kanye picked out some of Donda?s most expensive pieces, including some diamond earrings and a ruby ring,? a friend of Kanye?s told Radar. ?Donda was such an important person in Kanye?s life, he thought the world of her and was devastated when she died? Now Kanye has found a woman he respects and loves just as much as his mom, so he wants to share her jewelry collection with Kim.?

Despite the nice gesture, not everyone in Kanye?s camp is thrilled. They concerned that if something (god forbid) should sour in their relationship, Kim will pocket the heirloom-leaden ring. Given her questionable relationship history, that sounds like a pretty valid concern. ?Because it?s a gift, it would be difficult for Kanye to ask for it back if they ever split up.?

Kanye?s mother is factoring into a great many of his wedding plans. The rapper is reportedly pushing the marriage ceremony to take place in either his home town of Chicago or in Oklahoma where his mom was buried following her death in 2007. ?Oklahoma is his personal choice because his mother?s grave is there ? and he wants her at his wedding in spirit.?

Jobs boost under care home plans

MORE than 70 jobs could be created under plans to build a care home on a former Doncaster school site.

Teesside-based Prestige Group is looking to develop the site of the former Northfield School, on North Eastern Road, Thorne.

The firm has submitted a planning application to Doncaster Council for what would be an 80-bed home on a site which is currently disused.

The jobs would be a mixture of full and part-time, and would range from domestic staff, carers, nurses and managers.

The firm is hoping to have planning permission for the scheme later this year.

If that goes to plan, the home would take around a year to build, meaning it could potentially open up in the Autumn of 2013.

Prestige currently operates a number of sites, mainly in the North East.

The firm had originally planned to develop a home for 70.

But it has since modified the plans to allow for a building which would allow for more rooms in the roof area.

The company?s financial director, Andy Wilson, said the plans were at an early stage.

He said: ?There is a planning application which has gone in, and in terms of extra jobs it will create, it would be around 75.

?Most of those jobs would be going locally. There is a timescale for building work if we get planning permission, but everything would also depend on funding.

?The site is bare land at the moment, and we think it would be the ideal location for a care home.

?It backs onto a GP practice.?

The Prestige Group employs more than 200 people and operates a turnover in excess of ?11 million, with an asset base of ?40 million.

The group says it has ambitious plans to increase its care home beds to more than 1,000 within the next three years, as well as boosting its workforce to more than 1,000.

Most of its homes are in the Teesside area, but it has also built in Nottingham and Hull.

WAR DOG Hangs Tough From a Helicopter. No Big Deal [War Dogs]

This picture is badass. Here you see Navy SEALs demonstrating an exercise called Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction (SPIE) at Virginia Beach. SPIE is what happens when a patrol needs to be extracted from an area where a helicopter can't land. Neat. And routine. But oh wait, is that, pray tell, a WAR DOG? Why yes, yes it is one of those tongue wagging, barking balls of fur that will lick your face right after they aid you in a top-secret terrorist takedown. What can't WAR DOGS do?
